We would have to ask Ken to work with Jerry K. So far the Norcal group has been resistant to leaving PRC. I thought it was great running with E30 @ Laguna.

We have worked very well running with both E30 and Spec Miata. It did get a little harry when the field bunched up under double yellows at the last event, but everyone handled themselves well, even if we were several cars wide at times.

I noticed that at the last NorCal event the other race group consisted of very fast and slow cars which resulted in some very difficult racing. If we try a joint event at Sonoma and had 8-10 cars maybe that other race group could be divided so that the E30's and or Miata and us ran together. I do not see where PRC would care given it eliminates one of their potential problems as well which is a high speed differential between classes and the resulting increase in the potential for contact. As long as PRC runs with NASA why does NASA care if we switch to a slower race group. The only reason I see a problem for NASA is it may then require 3 race groups and that can take away time from HPE track time and that group is the bread and butter revenue of the organization.

It would be great if we could combine for 2-4 events 1-2 at Sonoma and 1-2 at Buttonwillow. By the way SoCal racing events have expanded to four sessions warmup 2 qualifying sessions and a race each day. More track time and ability to be flexible with qualifying races and inverted starts. It has made the racing weekend more enjoyable.

I agree that the grouping is what is most important. The SM,E30, 944 race group is best. Cars are all close to equal in speed.
