Question: Is it allowed to Drill say 1" holes in the rear at the license plate. Just to allow the air coming in the windows to push the fumes along with the hot air from sitting in the sun out. I was getting a fuel smell in the car. another issue I will ask on. but air does not seem to have a good escape from the cab. Any pros cons or cant do thats.
Thank you

Don't drill holes in the body. You don't need to as there are some holes there when you remove the license plate lights.

Either way don't do it.

A 1 in. hole wont help remove the fuel fumes. Eliminate the fuel leak source.
The car in motion will take care of the stagnant ambient hot air.
Convert to outside hold downs for the hatch, knock out the key tumbler to get legal 1" hole + exist holes behind license plate = some venting.
