As of October 1, 2008 use of RA-1's will be restricted to existing personal supplies for Arizona Region Races. Racers may not use new or used RA-1 aquired (purchased, traded or free) after 9/15/08 for qualfying or racing.

Racers may continue to use personal supplies of new or used RA-1 obtained before 9/15/08 without restriction for the remainder of the 2008 calendar year.

Racers must inform the regional series director of the number of RA-1's in their personal supply. The regional series director reserves the right to use any means to identify these tires to ensure compliance.

The Toyo RA-1 will be restricted to practice only no earlier than January 15, 2009 and no later than June 1, 2009. This exact date may fluctuate based on the actual racer supply and the calendar of Arizona region events for 2009.

The Toyo R888 will remain the offical spec tire for the remainder of 2008 and in 2009.

As of March 9, 2009 use of Toyo R888 will be required for 944 Spec qualfying and races run in the Arizona Region. Racers may continue to use RA-1 for without restrction before March 9 and only for practice sessions after March 9, 2009.

The Toyo R888 will remain the offical spec tire for the remainder of 2009.

Arizona racers partcipating in other regions will need to comply with the local policy torward the R888 transition or default to the National announcemnt relating to RA-1 use in spec classes.

This (March 7,8) is the last weekend to use RA-1 in Qualfying or Race in Arizona. After this they are practice only.
