TOPIC: Noise regulations at NorCal tracks

Noise regulations at NorCal tracks 14 years, 2 months ago #6935

How restrictive are the noise regulations at the various NorCal (and SoCal for that matter) tracks?

My exhaust is catless and has a Borla XR-1 race muffler which isn't much of a muffler.

I read that Infineon was 104 dBA 50' off track to driver's right but that doesn't mean much to me.

Does anyone have another reference, i.e. a 944 with an open exhaust is fine?

I'm officially signed up for Infineon in March! Now I just need to put the engine in, finish the suspension, set it up, get tires, update safety stuff etc. This may be a busy couple of weeks.

we all run with gutted cats or no cats, and race type mufflers. when we run with other regions, i can't even hear my car cause the other regions don't run any mufflers. I think you should be fine with your setup for infineon and thunderhill. Looking forward to March! (Laguna is a totally different story if you can find an event there, 90Db usually)
