We look forward to having you at the track. I took the Skip Barber School at Monterey and was able to get a rookie license through NASA without a problem. I found a lot of one on one attention at Barber from good teachers. The MX5 they use is similar handling and horsepower to 944 just less cockpit space. Norm is right key is seat time. If your budget allows you should come out to NASA events and run in the HPDE program as a good way to get some instruction and seat time at the tracks you will race at later. The car does not need to be race ready for HPDE. There are lots of drivers around to help with car prep. Give a call to Comeau Racing in San Diego he has prepared may 944's and knows the rules and regs well. This is as good a place as any for car prep questions. Hope to see you at the track. Thanks for the welcome guys yes i been eyeing nasa for sometime ill defintly be doing an outing, & yea been karting on a swiss hutless 100cc Yami motor in mexico it aint no Tony kart but it was defintly competitive series. My goal to be quite honest is to race in the pacific Formula Ford series in so cal but money is a little as far as open wheel goes but none the less its a goal for the futre. It is a little to nice to tear up but the damage has been done lol
