Porsche Owner's Club Tribute To LeMans June 5/6/7 2009?

POC is considering doing their Tribute To LeMans in a new way this year. It will consist of a series of sprint races including one at night. From what I understand that for this event, they will allow any driver with a valid NASA National Comp Lic, PCA Club Racing Lic or SCCA Regional/National Lic to enter. It will be serious seat time. It will be held at Willow Springs.

I think this could be a unique opportunity for 944 drivers from different clubs to come together. They plan to run under their GCRs.

Any thoughts?

Yes I will be there. POC is a great club and they have relaxed the rules to get more Porsche Owners racing.
The 944 group is a great bunch of guys.

There will be an Enduro race of sorts (still working on format) as well as sprint races.

We averaged about 10 cars per event last year (2008). So come on out and race with us.

The POC guys are great to race and pit with. Fast too. A great way to get better.

Chuck, it was great racing with you. I am sorry you broke on Sunday. It would have been more fun with you in the race.

Everyone, you should give this a go. More racing with more guys equals better racers.
