No more prepping to GTS-1 rules to be competitive - yes!

Spec Miata and Spec E30 moved with us - should be some good racing there!

Nice

SM vs S-E30 vs 944 Spec in E3... Should call it E(spec)

Seems like a reasonalbe fight given the performance of all the the cars are rather close. I do think the range of the 944 however is an edge.

Does this mean we need to run the spec tire also or are tires still free in Enduro. I still have a set of Nitto NT01s to use next year.

Any tire, but must be on a spec legal rim.

ORLY? ....

It is my understaning to run E3 as a 944 spec you need to be 100% spec legal. You might be able to run E3 as non-spec legal car.

Joe, the applicable rule is quoted below. It specifically mentions that Legends must use Spec tires, but not other Spec classes. In the car classification, also mentions that PT classes will use the tire to assess points, so they are very specific in calling out exceptions to this rule.

3.3. Class legality
3.3.1. Cars (as represented) must meet their respective class’ technical rules, except that all cars may run
any D.O.T. approved tires that fit on the mandated wheel size for their class (unless otherwise specified).
ES and ESR cars may also use non-D.O.T. approved race tires (i.e. slicks) on any wheels. Legends cars
must run the spec tire for their class.
