What is the general consensus here with the RA1's, run'em full tread or shave to 4/32? Just curious what others are doing.

4/32 all the way.

Unless you want full wets for deep rain. Then go full tread. The good news is that life is still the same either way and once worn down are just as fast.

Where do you guys buy your tires? Is there a series discount for the Spec tire? I assume the RA1 is the legal tire for the 2010 rules?

We currently don't have anyone offering a "series discount"
RA1's are legal in 2010 and we are also allowing the R888's as well. However, if you run Nationals in September, you must be on RA1's.

What region are you in?

I'll be NorCal but may run races anywhere and want to keep Nationals open as an option too.

I get my tires through Byran Schakelford of Toyo's only.

He has been my only tire vendor since 2002. Great guy and knows his stuff. He is in Phoenix, but is one of the main motorsports dealers out there and ships tires too.

Because we have contingency deal with Toyo there are no discounts. Even so the pricing is reasonable and the life (of RA-1)is outstanding. Get the 225/50 R15's.
