Have an 87 944 that I am now stripping down in preparation of building into a 944 Spec here in Texas. I have a couple of questions...

What size steering wheel are most using? 350mm? 320mm?
I have what appears to be a 320mm wheel that came with the car, but wondering if the bigger wheel would provide better control in these cars.

Are silicone radiator hoses legal? The rules don't mention them and since this is a spec class I wanted to check. It only mentions bypass or block off systems. Wanted to swap over since I am going to replace the originals anyway.

I am looking at replacing the radiator as well, as the one I have came with the car. The one I am considering is copper core/brass tanks (never been a fan of plastice tanks) at a decent price. It says it replaces a 951 part number, so I understand I will have to modify the lower mount. Anyone done this? Worth it? It is hot here is TX/OK ..shooting for realiability.

Are the cometic head gaskets considered OEM replacements?
