Since I already have the Momo wheel, I have an adapter. I assume this is the same one you are talking about and therefore I only need the quick release?

If you can currently bolt your Momo wheel to your steering column without a quick release, then yes, you should just need to buy a quick release and then you'd be all set.

After asking for advice, I went against it

I went with a QR from Rogue Engineering:

www.rogueengineering.com/mm5/merchant.mv...&Category_Code=P

My main reason is that it is the thinnest I could find at 2.25" that still releases with pull type paddles and one hand. I use a Mod 07 wheel with a deep dish and I'm not sure that this one will even work as it might make the wheel too close. I may end up replacing the wheel for one with less dish. Anyone want a brand new suedue Momo Mod 07?

I saw that NRG makes a thinner QR but it is a twist type which I don't like.

I'll report back once I get it and see how it works. Online reports look good.

That one looks like the best so far, but I'm also in the same boat with possibly having the steering wheel too close. I hope it works out well for you because I'll likely follow and get the same one.

Thanks!

That looks very similar to the NRG version I put in. I like the wheel in a position where my arms are well bent and I am using mostly my shoulders...helps with fatigue.

I agree that having the wheel close is nice but mine is already close. The Mod 07 has a 3" dish so with most quick releases, my wheel would be about 6" closer than stock

Other Momo wheels are around 1" dish so if I have to exchange mine, I'll get one of those. I didn't think ahead very well as I replaced my Mod 07 at the end of the season because the suede was worn out.
