Headlight covers would provide a small aero advantage by covering the seams. At tracks here in Nor cal it might not matter but at Miller? I did mine with a few little aluminum bars and a couple of bolts. I must be one of the slow ones because it took about 45 minutes and looks ok, in my opinion better than a new piece of aluminum panel riveted in place. I say if it's a deal breaker for a region then do it but it's not any easier, not cheaper if you don't have a rivet gun, and I don't think it looks better or factory made, and if it's not painted will cheap and cheesy! Here's some pics of mine mid paint job. They look better now and cost about $1.00

Yep... the Orange car I posted is pretty, and illegal. The Silver car is ugly, and legal. I see this proposed change the same as the optional sun roof panel. It's optional, and can make cars look a bit better.
