I think he said he missed his heal/towing and was offline! I though he'd spin off to the right

I guess if wanting to use a $90 shifter is asking to much then I guess I did. Dont feel like you have to compromise on my behalf it will be on my car either way

I disagree, the worst part of racing a 944 is when you crash into your buddy!!

Wow, snap spin - did the guy up front shift into 1st?
Is there some hidden meaning here?

That looks remarkably similar to what happened to me when I went for 3rd and got 1st. Same direction snap spin and everything.

You may be on to something here Eric.

Propose that the OEM or equivalent cover be used on fuel rail.
I would like to see a discussion about this.

We have all seen fuel rail leaks, usually we can get the rail replaced or repaired as necessary. Most of the leaks are weepers in that the fuel dibbles, in liquid form and usually evaporates quickly (a good thing). HOWEVER we have seen one that cracked and sprayed fuel not unlike from a large fuel injector, (a bad thing). It was caused by, you guested it, a balance shaft out of time. If a cover had been in place it may have contained the spray and re- liquidfied the fuel thus reducing the chance of ignition. In this case we did not have a fire but it did get our attention.
The down side of using the cover is that it would make small leak less obvious. And yes; it would increase the cost of our cars.

I believe that it would make our cars marginally safer, it won’t affect power, it won’t affect aero, it won’t affect downforce or balance, and it won’t improve your libido or E.D.

Most of us have these covers someplace in the shop, garage, trailer or junk pile. Even in the South where 944 parts are rare we can find rail covers for next to nothing.
Obviously it goes without saying that the balance shafts need to be in time but stuff happens. The rails are not perfect, under the best conditions, they do crack. That would be the reason that the engineers who designed these cares used them in the first place.

Guys, no reason to get ugly about this one just say what you think no matter how dumb your point is. For those of you without a sense of humor that was a joke.
