Well I spent most of the winter attacking the weight of my 86 and still was at 2643 coming off the track Sunday with the fuel light on. I took off everything that wasn't needed and already have the light battery but still can't get below weight. I could go on a diet but since I'm 5'9", 155lbs can't lose much there. I yanked alot of wiring and had a nightmare getting the car running again. I do have aluminium floor mats that can go but they only weigh total of about 3 lbs plus another 2lbs for cheap door panels.

I'm all for raising the weight at the next rules change.

My 84 is right where Chris's is. No rule change.

I say keep the min weight. My car is an '86 and it weighs 2630 with a half tank of gas. I'm 5'9.5" and about 180.

Took my wiper motor* out to lend to my son and went under weight.

I say don't change it.

*83 with lots left to strip out

so not one person that i see that claims to be at minimum weight with a late car. i have an early car around 2620 even with my large 'frame' in there, but i still think a higher min weight would be better for the series. I do understand the 'no new rules' chant though.
