I did make some calls this afternoon to see what the net effect would be as far as lowering the forward mount. I was told that the effect is a more rapid increase of camber and toe when car rolls over. Supposedly not the desired effect if you want to improve handling.

I do not know if this is affecting the handling of this car in a positive way. If it is then we should cross that bridge when we get there.

I prefer to be on an even playing field with my competitors and friends.

I will look for a replacement T-tube. Any body have one?
Not sure if the 88 924s is different than the 944.

There is a car locally that was totaled that may have a good one. That way I can have it done before next event.

There is no process to protest after the fact. I believe the protest period is 30 minutes after the race.

In any event, there is no issue here, as far as I am concerned. Most of us drive cars that others had a hand in building. Mr. National Champion, as are most all of us, is open about his car and does not hide things. Good for him and good for the 944 guys that are also open and honest with their cars.

To be honest, I am not even sure I would have thought anything about this if it had been on my car. Charlie, you are more observant than I am, my friend.

This all started because I wanted to document the bushings and set up on this car so I could share the info. This car is very fast through the corner. I hope it has nothing to do with the current situation.
I also wanted to make sure the car was legal for Nats.
If you look at the pics you will see that the rear bushings are stock.
When I pull the torsion tube I will take pics of the forward mount and swing arm bushings. So far they appear to be black eurothane.
