As it sits it is stock 1983 944 with a blown head gasket, manual steering and untold treasures beneath the seats- guns, cash, Arby's coupons- it's anyone's guess...

Soon it will be the Southeast's newest 944-Spec car.

On Saturday, January 14th come join us in Cumming, GA for the first part of the build process- removing the interior, dropping the engine, replacing the head and rod bearings, etc. We'll be doing it in true NASA Southeast style- with BBQ and plenty of beer!

Everyone is welcome, we will be starting at 9:00 AM and finishing up around 4:00 PM- actual work is optional, bench racing is preferred. Show up and leave whenever you want-

As the new "Commander" of the Southeast series my primary goal is to build our car numbers to "epic proportions" to quote my boss Jim Pantas. One of the ways we plan on doing this is to build cars and pass them along to fellow racers who are interested in joining in the 944Spec fun. I hope anyone who is building a car or even thinking about racing with NASA-SE will join us at our shop in Cumming GA on Jan 14th. My fellow Porsche fanatic Brian and I as well as the rest of our club could use the help with the car and the growth of this great series.

Hi Michael Sounds fun. Not sure i can make this though. Does anyone have a hit list of what you expect to accomplish?

You can just "pass this one on" to me if you want when you are done. I'm "interested" about the Spec Fun run. Is this like the TV show where they say 'move that bus" and there a SPEC car behind ?

I'm doing about 3hrs and change to get there. Are you racing or getting ready?

I'm building right now. Finishing up the wiring and the dash.
After that then it's 90% done. 50% to go.....
Things like belts, window nets, a/c all need to be installed.
