Here is the 944Cup South schedule for 2013. All events are PCA sponsored. I will be entering a 944 SP1 car in most of them. I also plan to enter most of the NASA 944-Spec events. We will be entering as a team (T&H Racing) and one of out Team members will run the Spec-944 in each event. I will share driving with Bob Hahnemann and Paul Hockman (when he gets his comp license) We will also enter my GTS2/SP3 car in these events.

Wow, that took a lot more words than I expected.

The net of it is that you are all invited to run our 944Cup events. PCA will grant you a comp license base on your NASA license and medical form, you also have to join the PCA. There are some great venues for 2013, but the registration fills up fast.

Do all 4 prep levels within the Cup class compete against each other? Seems kinda confusing. What levels the playing field

The joint PCA/944Cup races run 2 simultaneous scoring systems. SP1 cars compete against other SP1 cars in the PCA scoring and against Both SP1 and SP2 cars in the 944 Cup scoring. SP3 cars are scored separately by both the PCA and 944 SuperCup.

The 2013 rules will eliminate Prep2, leaving only stock and Prep1 for 944Cup Cars. SuperCup/SP3 remains the same.

I am happy to announce that the June 21-23 PCA Race at VIR has been added to the 944Cup South Schedule.

I forgot to mention that we have a split start at most events, with all the 944Cup and SuperCup cars grouped together. If anyone is interested in running these events, I will be happy to provide support dealing with the PCA before and at the events.

BTW, I am just starting the build on our 2nd Spec-944 Car, based on a very straight and great running 83 with manual steering. It will be for sale as a turnkey race car when completed.
