I'm ordering the window nets and I would like to know if somebody can please let me know what are the best dimensions for both nets. I'm having they custom made by Crow.

I'm also planing to install polycarbonate windows with quick release latches to use when it is raining. My plan is to weld a channel on the lower front side of the door frame and hold the piece of polycarbonate using a couple quick release latches. Any issues with this kind of setup? Anybody using polycarbonate or plexiglas on the windows would mind to please post photos of your setup.

I thought we were not allowed to run plexi windows? If we can then 924 GTR sliders would be the best in my opinion. Easy to mount and then they still open and close as well.

Drivers and passengers side windows must be in the down position when on track with NASA, SCCA etc.

We are only allowed a front windshield made from Lexan or Polycarbonate. All other windows must be stock type glass. Drivers and passengers windows can be left in place with hardware and regulators but must be down when racing.

Oh yeah, I recently purchased a Spec Miata window net from Hoerr Racing. They are more expensive than the standard 18x18" nets but are a better fit in my car at 18x15".

I'm going to have the window net custom made by www.crowenterprizes.com. Same price as standard but they will do whatever size you need. I just measured the car with the cage spot welded in place and I'm assuming the window net to be 18"W x 15-16"H and the center one to be 46"W x 11'H. I'm going to order Monday, if I'm out of my mind please jump in.

As for the passenger and driver window my plan is to have the channel and the retaining mechanism as used in GT and NASCAR in the doors. This way I can put a lexan slider per Joe's suggestion in place if I need and the event allows me to use.

How is the ingress of rainwater on these cars under racing conditions?

As with all cars in the rain and the window open water does come in but not terribly.

The window net size sounds right. That is the size of the Miata net I just bought.

The 18x18" nets are too big IMO. I dont understand the interior net dimensions.
