I was told that Lexan has to be heated to hold the correct curve. Is that not the case, or can you just lay a template on it and cut it?

I don't know. I'm hoping that the curve will be close enough that I can just cut off the excess, using my old windshield as a template, and form it/hold it in place with retaining clips and silicone.

I did measure, and it is bigger in both dimensions than our windshield.

They haven't arrived yet, we'll see how it goes...

Windows came in. They are in good shape, and as a bonus have 1-4 tear offs left on. The shading, and shapes are subltely different, but all will work. The general curve works pretty well. Our windshields curve in at the edges a bit more, but the lexan appears easily flexible enough to make it work. Some pics:

I'll work on getting the windshield cut out, weighed, in test-fitted. So far, so good!

Cool!!! Great low cost way to go faster. Having the tear offs will save you from replacing the Lexan for some time.

What is the thickness of the Lexan?

What is the weight in comparison to the glass?

It's 1/4" Lexan

Once I get a chance to cut it out, I'll compare weights.
